Event Description
Homebased Microprocessors (HBM) are
individuals who grow and harvest produce to use
in their value-added products. HBMs are required
to grow a predominant ingredient in the products
they make. The first step to becoming certified as
a homebased microprocessor is to attend this
required workshop. Examples of foods included in
this program are canned tomatoes, tomato juice,
pickled fruits and vegetables, salsa, barbecue sauce, pepper or herb jellies, vinegars, low or no
sugar fruit jams and jellies, and pressure canned
vegetables.
Attend in-person at the
Extension Office or tune
in virtually on Zoom. Cost
of the workshop is $50.
